Video Extension

Hall Technologies produce video extension products using a number of different technologies, that allow you to transmit video signals over long distances.

The latest video over IP technologies allow 4K UHD video to travel over standard 1GB Ethernet infrastructure, with the added benefit of being able to be combined to create virtual matrices of up to 64 x 250.

HDBaseT allows not only video but audio, Ethernet, serial, IR, and power to be extended by up to 100 metres using standard CAT5e/6 structured cabling. When requirements are much simpler, Hall Technologies also has a range of products that can also extend video signals using UTP, coax or fibre optic cabling.

U22-160

The U22-160 extends your host PC’s USB 2.0 port across a single CAT5e/6 cable to 50 metres with data rates up to 480Mb/s.

In most instances, no power supply is needed for either side, as the local side gets its power from the PC and it send power-over-cable to the remote side. However, with some power hungry devices, a power supply is included.

The remote end has a two-port hub built-in to allow connection of 2 USB devices. The product can extend a broad range of devices, like webcams, printers, keyboards, and disk drives.

USB3-EXT-16

The USB3-EXT-16 is an active extension cable, which can be cascaded (up to 4) to extend the distance between USB devices and a PC.

It regenerates the USB signal for maximum reliability and performance over extended distances.

The extension device can be used without a power supply when cascading up to 2 devices, otherwise the power supply is required at the farthest connection from the USB source.

U2-DR1

The U2-DR1 extends a host PC’s USB 2.0 port on a CAT6 cable to 150 metres with data rates up to 480Mb/s.

The local side gets its power from the PC and the remote side is powered by an included universal power supply.

The U2-DR1 is compatible with all PCs and Macs and requires no driver installation. It also extends the USB port transparently without any hidden hubs for maximum compatibility across all USB devices.

HDMI & DVI Extension

Hall Technologies manufacture an extensive range of HDMI and DVI video extension products, for transmitting signals over a long distance via CAT.

Alongside the HDMI and DVI extension, a collection of Hall Technologies products can also simultaneously transmit USB, RS-232, IR, audio and control over the same cable.

In addition to the traditional sender and receiver kits, Hall also manufacture wall plate senders. These are traditionally used frequently in schools and universities, where easy USB and HDMI extension is required at the front of the class.
